The Escape From The Rock Cruise
The Escape from the Rock Cruise takes you on a full 1 1/2 hour cruise around the bay, complete with a professional tour guide who will narrate your adventure. The cruise takes you past Alcatraz Island, as well as the Golden Gate Bridge, Sausalito, the famed San Francisco sea lions and gives you a tremendous view of the city skyline. You will also be regaled with tales about famous criminals once housed in Alcatraz, including Clyde James, Billy Cook the Killer and, of course, the infamous Al Capone.
You will also learn about the numerous escape attempts from the island prison, and how all but one ended in dismal failure. The tour incorporates vivid imagery and even modern sound effects to help you visualize the drama and the fear experienced by the escapees.
